Who doesn't know simadu pineapple? The fruit, which is identical as a souvenir from Subang, is known for its sweet and refreshing taste. However, this article will not discuss about the simadu pineapple, but about the figure behind the development of Subang Regency, where the simadu pineapple originated.

Now, speaking of Subang, it's not good if you don't know Agus Masykur. Yes, Agus is the Deputy Regent of Subang for the 2018-2023 period. The man who was also born in Subang on August 4, 1972 is a politician from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).

Previously, he served as Deputy Chairman of the DPRD Subang Regency. Right on December 19 2018, he was officially inaugurated by the Governor of West Java as Deputy Regent of Subang accompanying H. Ruhimat.

Prior to his involvement in politics, he had taught as a lecturer at several institutions in Subang Regency. Among them, STT Texmaco Subang, STMIK Subang, and University of Subang.

During his tenure as Deputy Regent, Kang Akur, as he is known, has won eight national level awards. In addition, 124 West Java regional level awards have also been won by the Subang Regency Regional Government (Pemda) in the first year of his leadership.

These awards are proof of Agus' seriousness in leading Subang to a much better direction. Two awards were handed over by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
The awards are the Service of Bhakti Cooperatives and SMEs, as well as the Best People's Market Revitalization at the National Level. The rest was handed over by the relevant ministry which was accepted by the Subang Regency Government.

Another award that is very proud of is the Unqualified Opinion Achievement (WTP) on the Regional Government Financial Report (LKPD) given by BPK RI to the Subang Regency Government. This achievement is certainly a very valuable asset for Agus and his staffs, because the WTP Opinion is a momentum in building public trust in the Subang Regency Government.

Agus is also on the Supervisory Board of the Robitoh and Assyifa Foundation. In addition, in 2015, he was elected as Chairman of the Alumni Association (HA) of IPB University Subang Regency which is a forum for IPB University alumni from Subang Regency to be able to contribute in regional development.

In addition, he was also selected in the PKS Award as an Inspiring Cadre in 2011 and in 2012 was selected as a Subang Community Empowerment Leader. Looking back, Agus completed his primary and secondary education at SD Dangdeur 2 and SMPN 1 Subang.

Then graduated from SMAN 1 Subang in 1991. He completed his undergraduate program at the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), IPB University in 1996. After graduating from IPB, he continued his education at the Postgraduate Program in Management at Winaya Mukti University, Bandung and graduated in 2007.

Thanks to his tenacity and tireless spirit, the father of four children was able to achieve success at a relatively young age. His dedication to his homeland also helped build Subang Regency in a much better direction.
