Achieved the Best Student Predicate While Studying at IPB
Not only did he graduate as a remarkable undergraduate, this IPB University alumni figure also won the title of Best Student. He is Dr. Ir. Andi Buchari, MM, an alumnus of IPB University in 1988 with a study in Marine Product Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK). With his qualified knowledge and experience of 32 years, in 2021, Andi is trusted to be the President Director of Bank Riau Kepri.
After studying at IPB University, Andi then continued his master's degree in 1994 at Atmajaya University in the field of Finance and Management, he graduated in 1996. Then, in 2013, Andi returned to IPB University to take a doctorate degree in Strategic Management, Business Finance and Management.
Rekam jejaknya tak perlu diragukan. Ia memiliki sertifikasi Banking Risk Management (Level 5), Sertifikasi CRP (Certified Risk Professional), dan Sertifikasi CPF (Certified Personal Finance). Dengan pengalaman kerja selama 32 tahun, 27 tahun diantaranya sebagai praktisi di Industri Perbankan dan Keuangan.
Andi has actively participated in many training and seminars both at a national and international levels, including in Davos (Switzerland), Amsterdam (Netherland), Manama (Bahrain), Abu Dhabi (UAE), Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Prior to serving as the President Director of Bank Riau Kepri, he had a career at PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Tbk for almost 21 years. There, he held several positions. Starting as Head of Division in September 1993 to August 2002. Then, he served as Regional Manager for North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, and Aceh from 2002 to 2004.
In addition, Andi also served as CFO & Finance and Operational Director of Bank Muamalat Indonesia from 2007 to 2009. Then, from 2009 to 2014, he held the position of CRO & Risk Management and Compliance Director of Bank Muamalat Indonesia.
In August 2008, Andi also served as Managing Director of First Islamic Investment Bank Limited (Malaysia) until April 2009. Andi also served as Director/Senior Vice President at PT Bahana Securities Jakarta from November 2016 to August 2017.
His career continued to advance. This hardworking figure re-positioned himself as a Senior Advisor at PayTren Group in 2018 until he served as CEO of Halal Ventures Indonesia until September 2020.
In addition to a long career in the banking world, Andi also had a career at Kujang United Catalist which is an affiliate of United Catalist Inc, USA as Deputy Sales and Logistics Manager at PT. Sekar Laut Group in 1989, as well as Production Supervisor at PT. Blambangan Raya (1988).
Certainly, not all brilliant careers can be achieved without hard work. Andi also has faced many challenges and obstacles throughout his career. However, he managed to prove that the process of hard work will not betray the results.
