Pleased to Interact with Employees 

Known as a person who is friendly and unpretentious. He is Ir. Indra Iskandar, M. Si who now holds the position of Secretary General of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR). He did not hesitate to mingle with other employee, including joining the parliamentary bicycle community. 

The man who was born in Rawamangun, Jakarta, on November 14, 1966, wants to increase the happiness index of all employees of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI, because according to him, every human being has the right to be happy. 

Indra is an Alumnus of IPB University with a doctorate in Business Management Studies with a dissertation entitled “Strategies for Development of Organizational Capabilities, Human Resources, and Technology to Improve the Performance of the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia”. 

This Acehnese native completed his undergraduate education at the Jakarta National Institute of Science and Technology majoring in Civil Engineering in 1994. Then, he continued his formal education and obtained his master's degree at the University of Indonesia majoring in Public Administration in 2005.

After completing his undergraduate studies, in March 1997, he succeeded in becoming a civil servant. Indra's career began in 2000, where he was trusted to serve as the Head of the United Nations Project Sub-section at the State Secretariat, then from 2002 to 2005, he became the Head of the Building Planning Sub-section. 

Then in 2011, he became Head of General Affairs. In 2015, Indra became Assistant Deputy for State and Regional Institution Relations. With his success as a civil servant, on May 14 2018, he was given the mandate as Secretary General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia.(*)
