Became a Leader at a Young Age and Won Many Awards

Thanks to his sincerity and hard work, Kukuh Roxa Putra managed to achieve success at a young age. A graduate of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture Batch 43, IPB University started a business with his colleagues, and became the CEO of PT. Indonesian Agri Pandavas.

This young entrepreneur born in 1987 began studying at IPB University in 2006 and graduated in 2011. According to him, IPB University has given many lessons and experiences that are used as provisions to develop as it is today.

Working with many students from different backgrounds is important to face a variety of characters that can be applied in the real world.

Kukuh was not only being involved in the academic world, but was also active outside the campus when he was a student. He once held a plant festival that was fairly successful. However, there was an unsavory story behind this activity.

Kukuh, who at that time served as chairman of the committee, was responsible for all matters relating to these activities. The festival ended up leaving debt. However, Kukuh and his four colleagues were persistent in completing the project given by their lecturer optimally. Within two months, the debt from the festival activities was paid off.

Starting from that incident, Kukuh became more active and tempted to work on other projects, because the results could be used for daily life as a student. This gave an important value for Kukuh to be able to learn how to think and communicate as a unit in a group.

While still a student at the Horticultural Agronomy Department, he had part-time job at the Ecotoxycology and Waste Laboratory of IPB University from 2009 to April 2011.

In 2010, Kukuh also served as Marketing and Business Development at IPB Sukses Mandiri Alumni until 2012. During that part-time job, he began to think about building a business with his colleagues.

Pioneering the Pandawa Putra Indonesia business, starting in 2010 with Sigit Pramono and Wahyudi. Then on July 7, 2012, the business he started was officially established and took the form of a CV.

The aim of starting this business is to help farmers who are experiencing puso (unproductive). Seeing the condition of farmers in Banyuwangi, where the rice fields there experienced a puso for two consecutive seasons, moved Kukuh and his two friends to build a company that engaged in agricultural production facilities including solid and liquid organic fertilizers, vegetable pesticides, and biological agents.

After graduating from IPB University, Kukuh has inaugurated this business in the form of a CV in 2012. In the same year he also assisted farmers to produce rice and develop businesses in the field of captivity and seeding. This assistance was intended so that farmers could meet the needs of rice seeds that are officially certified by the government.

He has done many activities for the benefit of society. Armed with knowledge from college, Kukuh empowers waste scavengers to separate organic and inorganic waste. From this movement, organic waste can be reused as a mixture for making organic fertilizers.

He has a vision to make the business he runs as a global business that is integrated with an agricultural base. Kukuh is determined to be able to develop new products that suit the needs of farmers.

All business and effort that can be done, he must try. He also went into the rice business to the business of agricultural production facilities. Kukuh is known as a young man who diligently seizes opportunities, he is good at seeing business gaps and also has a very big spirit.

Thanks to his expertise, Kukuh won 1st place in the Young Entrepreneur Competition held by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs in October 2013. Then in May 2013, he received the SPIRIT GKN of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs.

In July 2013, Kukuh also received the Adipura Kencana Mitra award by the Banyuwangi Regency Government in processing municipal waste. Then, he won Asia Innovator by DBS Foundation ASIA 2017, 9 Best Innovators in The World by Smallholders Advancing with Innovation and Technology (SAWIT) 2016.

The hard work that he started when he was in college, made Kukuh able to succeed as he is now. Won many awards and was able to lead the company that he started himself. Since February 2014, Kukuh Roxa Putra has been entrusted to serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at PT Pandawa Agri Indonesia.
